Spring Break 2006

My spring break will come to an end in just a couple of minutes, hard to believe that its already over. Its been a good week. I can’t really say that I rested, but it was productive, and I have appreciated the break from my studies. Now I’m ready to dive back in.

I spent the weekend in Boerne with my step-folks. It was great. We ate a bunch of good food, lounged around and watched a bunch of movies, and just generally teased each other. This afternoon my step-Dad & I took his kayaks out to Boerne Lake and paddled around for about an hour, which was a blast.

Right as I was leaving to drive back to Austin tonight he said, “Oh, I forgot to tell you, I got a remote-controlled helicopter.” I responded, “And you’re just now telling me. We should have been playing with that thing all weekend long!” Doesn’t he realize that aerospace engineering students dream of playing with toys that fly? Sigh… Next trip.

My bracket is doing pretty well overall. I was number one (out of 10) for 24 hours. But just this evening I was bumped to number two by George Mason and Georgetown. I’m really bummed to see North Carolina get bumped.

I listened to Audioslave & Radiohead the entire trip to and from Boerne. Those two CD’s are in heavy rotation, I just can’t get enough.
