Lenwood.cc Turns One

I made my very first ever post to Lenwood.cc on December 5, 2004, exactly one year ago today. If you go back, you’ll notice one post from November of 2004, but that was originally posted on my old, non CMS blog some months after I had this one up and running.

In the past year I’ve been hacked once (almost twice), had my webhost go out of business, changed the site’s skin (appearance) twice, and posted 118 entries & recorded 116 comments. Its hard to tell exactly how many people read, but I think the number has increased from 8 to 10 to around 40, which is kinda cool. Thanks for reading!

And here’s some interesting news on my domain. When I purchased “Lenwood.cc”, I thought that it was a new American domain extension, like .com or .net or .biz. Turns out I was wrong, its a domain extension intended for the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Do they even HAVE the internet there? I had to go through this whole big thing to renew the domain because of it. Fortunately, I was able to renew it, so I get to keep this spot.

In the next year, I promise to put a chicken in every pot, and a car in every garage. Not really, but I DO promise to keep right on posting. I’m working on yet another skin for the site, though I don’t have much time for it at the moment. And b2evolution is working on a new version release, so when that becomes available I may start using some new features.
