This week I learned to always check the color of stuff that you’re buying. For example…

I’ve needed a new toothbrush for the past couple of weeks. Last week I was at the grocery store so I looked at all of the options. I’ve been using the battery powered Crest spin kind, so I decided to get another one like that. I looked at all of the options, soft vs medium bristles, colors, head sizes, etc. I probably spent 5 minutes there looking at everything. Finally I made my choice, and as I was walking away I noticed that the Colgate models were $2 cheaper. Ever the shopper, I decided to go with the less expensive, so I grabbed one with soft bristles and went on about my shopping.

The next time I brushed my teeth I pulled it out of its packaging, and was shocked to see that I had grabbed a PINK toothbrush. I guess all of the packaging was so colorful that I didn’t notice the most important color. Well at this point I had already pulled it out of its packaging, so I couldn’t return it. Dang.

In the toothbrush’s defense, I think the Colgate model does a better job of cleaning my teeth than the Crest one ever did. Its still a bummer though because the battery powered models last longer than regular toothbrushes so I’ll have this pink toothbrush for months. Maybe I’ll start brushing 4-5 times a day in hopes that it’ll wear out faster.
